hope lingers on
march 25-may 6, 2026
In the spring of 2026, Tucson Choir League closed its premiere season with a bang! This cycle featured rhythmic and uplifting songs that offered reflections of hope during times of challenge.
Singers explored what it might sound like to perform “All Star” by Smash Mouth as an English madrigal, clapped and stomped through Andrea Ramsey’s inspiring arrangement of “Hope Lingers On” (originally performed by Low Lily), and shared its message of perseverance through difficult times. The choir also performed a lively arrangement of Tune-Yards’ hit “Water Fountain” and transformed their voices into an instrumental ensemble in Tracy Wong’s “Singkap Siaga.”
Tucson Choir League welcomed adults ages 21 and up, with no audition required.
The cycle included six Wednesday evening rehearsals at Reilly Craft Pizza & Drink in downtown Tucson, culminating in a final concert on May 6, 2025.
Registration included six engaging rehearsals with music direction and live accompaniment, a final concert performance, music to keep, and practice tracks to support learning between rehearsals.
As always, Choir League remained committed to removing barriers to singing together and offered financial support to participants when needed.
