wELcOME, Emily!

direCtor of Tucson Choir League

Emily is a firm believer that music can serve as a powerful tool for connection and joy. Originally from a small town outside of Cincinnati, Emily had no idea that joining choir in sixth grade would lead to a lifelong love of singing and making music. She holds degrees in music from Kent State University (2014) and Northern Kentucky University (2019). In her role as an elementary school music teacher in underserved, underfunded schools, it was her mission to make learning fun and accessible for all students and build a classroom culture of student empowerment.

Emily moved from Cincinnati to Tucson with her husband in the summer of 2019 and quickly fell in love with the sunny weather and friendly people. She has embraced an outdoor lifestyle, often spending her free time tending to her backyard garden or exploring the surrounding mountains. Shortly after landing in Tucson, Emily took on the role of Mom and has since served as playdate organizer, tee ball coach, soccer cheerleader, and Lego collaborator.

Outside of family life, Emily also enjoys lindy hop dancing, travel, and plant-based cooking. She never misses an opportunity to sing along to Queen’sBohemian Rhapsodyand you can almost always find her on the dance floor. It is her hope that Tucson Choir League will become a vibrant community for fellow choir geeks and music lovers like herself.
